About Livermore, CA
Livermore is located approximately 30 miles east of the first range of coastal mountains that surround the San Francisco Bay Area. The city is located in Alameda County and is considered part of the Tri-Valley area, including Amador, Livermore and San Ramon Valleys. Livermore is known for its award-winning wineries, settled in very picturesque farm land – a reason that Livermore is a large wedding destination, as well as home to concerts and many other world class events; including wine festivals and the annual Livermore Rodeo. The city is also a technology hub and home to the famous Lawrence Livermore Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratory. The Livermore school district offers eleven elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools, as well as three alternative high schools.
Livermore offers wonderful weather year round, even in the winter with temperatures in the mid 50’s and in the mid 80’s on average in the summer months. Temperatures however can sometimes reach 100 degrees during the summer months and as low as 20 degrees in the winter. Livermore is also known for the Ohlone Trail, Del Valle Regional Park, the Course at Wente Vineyards and Los Vaqueros Reservoir.
