About Dublin, CA

Dublin is located in the heart of the East Bay Area of Alameda County, with the nearest major city being Oakland. Dublin is located approximately 10 miles east of Hayward, 6 miles west of Livermore and is directly north of Pleasanton. The city is known for the Parks Reserves Forces Training Area (PRFTA) and is the only training facility for the 11K + reservists in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. Dublin’s tourism highlights include the Iron Horse Trail, Dublin Heritage Parks & Museums and the Dublin Ranch Golf Course. The city of Dublin offers six elementary schools, two middle schools, two public high schools and is also home to four private schools.

The Dublin climate is warm in the summer with temperatures in the 70’s, with the warmest month being July, boasting a maximum of 89 degrees. During the winter months, temperatures on average tend to run in the 40’s. Dublin is also home to several historical sites including The Murray Schoolhouse, Green’s Store (opened in1860), and is the current home of the Dublin Church of Christ and Old St. Raymond’s Church (built in 1859).The city is also the location of the very popular Discovery Channel program, Mythbusters, with over 50 episodes filmed at the Alameda County Sheriff’s bomb disposal range.
